Job Title: Electrical Superintendent – Rotational 4x2 Location: Anchorage, AK – North Slope (Position requires Travel) Reports to: Project Superintendent Salary Range: $75 Hourly Schedule: 7 x 12 (4 Week Rotations) Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, 401k, Vision. We are looking for an electrical superintendent with a tremendous amount of experience in the industry. The Project Electrical Superintendent oversees all electrical, instrumentation, and controls work for construction projects on the North Slope. This position entails supervising the electrical team, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and coordinating with stakeholders to deliver projects effectively. The role demands a flexible rotational schedule and is project-based, spanning approximately six to seven months, with the possibility of extension. Lower 48 Candidates: It is the responsibility of the employee to provide transportation to and from Anchorage, AK. UOSS will provide transportation to/from the North Slope. UOSS will provide lodging and food while on rotation. Responsibilities: Foster and champion a safety leadership culture focused on achieving an incident- and injury-free environment. Ensure all safety program expectations are met, including safety inspections and hazard recognition. Assist the General Superintendent in job planning and scheduling. Supervise and control the execution of all electrical functions of assigned projects. Understand current NEC and NFPA70E standards thoroughly. Recognize and correct gaps in the safe execution of Udelhoven work scopes. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide solutions to technical issues. Develop and provide input to material take-offs and procurement needs. Review and approve manpower requisitions for craft labor. Provide detailed scheduling of daily construction activities. Monitor and report on the progress of work activity and significant milestones. Conduct performance reviews and provide input on development plans for subordinates. Skills: The electrician must currently hold a State of Alaska Electrician Journeyman certification of fitness per Alaska State Statute 8 AAC 90.160. Valid driver’s license required and ability to be insured by Udelhoven’s auto insurer. Five years' experience as an industrial journeyman. Two years of construction management and/or craft supervision experience. Familiarity with and knowledge of electrical codes and best practices with regard to electrical distribution and power systems. Knowledge of the safety hazards and necessary safety precautions connected with electrical systems. Other duties as assigned. Bonus Points if you have: One year experience working with Office Suite programs (i.e., Word, Excel, & Outlook) preferred. Six years experience as a Journeyman Electrician, including three years in industrial electrical work.
