This position performs warehouse/material distribution tasks relative to the receiving and shipment of product. Moves inventory by operating a forklift. Duties and Responsibilities include unloading inbound trucks (inter-company deliveries, vendors, etc.), loading outbound trucks (inter-company shipments, off-site warehouse, etc.), locating and retrieving products as well as replenishing picking locations using FEFO methodology, moving pallets on dock, physically stacking/transporting product from larger sterilization pallet to regular pallet before moving by forklift to dock, ensuring all assigned duties are safely completed in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and procedures, maintaining an acceptable work area as in GMPs, following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP, prioritizing safety to maintain safe working conditions and adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses, performing warehouse associate duties, training new hires on RF functions, and maintaining regular and reliable attendance. Safety shoes are required. Qualifications include a High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience of 1 year consecutive relevant experience, minimum 1 year experience with MHE (forklifts) like Reach Trucks, certification/licensing to operate material handling equipment, minimum 1 year experience using an RF scanner, ability to work Tues - Sat, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, ability to read and interpret distribution documents, ability to work under minimal direction, proficiency in working in an environment dedicated to measuring performance, concentration and alertness, ability to work well with others, safe operation of MHE, good verbal communication skills, good basic math skills, ability to solve practical problems and adapt to shifting priorities. Physical demands include frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting (sometimes over 50 lbs), and frequent use of hands. Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, extreme weather conditions, hot summers (no AC), cold winters (limited heating), occasional exposure to fumes/airborne particles, and moderate to loud noise levels.
