The Role: Meet, greet, and seat all guests with a positive, friendly, helpful attitude and is a general source of information to all guests entering the house. Responsibilities include guest relations such as greeting guests promptly and courteously, controlling guest flow, obtaining guest information, anticipating guest needs, directing guests to wait locations, estimating wait times, leading guests to tables, marketing current and future shows, answering guest questions, handling foundation access lists and passes, checking membership cards and IDs, adhering to dress code, handing out wristbands and passes, thanking guests, and knowledge of House of Blues-related art, music, and history. Maintain hospitality zone and communicate with support departments to ensure proper flow. Maintain cleanliness and organization of host area, polish entry door windows, maintain supplies, and uphold safety and sanitation standards. Assist other departments as needed and attend pre-shift meetings. Evaluation based on appearance, punctuality, attitude, job skills, policy adherence, sanitation, guest satisfaction, and communication. Qualifications include Nevada Gaming Registration/Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification (TAM), high school diploma, knowledge of restaurant operations, diplomacy, multitasking, verbal and organizational skills, ability to seat guests efficiently, and flexible hours. Preferred qualifications include POS knowledge (MICROS), VIP customer handling experience, and interpersonal communication skills. Physical demands include prolonged standing and ability to lift up to 25 lbs. The working environment is fast-paced.
