At KPMG, we believe nothing is more important than investing in our culture because it's an investment in our people, our future, and what we stand for as a firm.KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, SALT Income Franchise - Consulting to join our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice.ResponsibilitiesWork as part of a national multi-disciplinary state income tax consulting team helping clients with their most complex state tax issues, including organizational structure optimization, identifying refund opportunities, developing and delivering technology solutions, and general consulting mattersAssist multi-national companies with state tax return review engagements focused on identifying and securing state income tax refundsResearch and draft technical memoranda or slide decks regarding income, franchise, sales and use tax, and other state and local tax questionsBuild and manage client relationships and supervise, mentor, and develop associatesQualificationsMinimum two years of recent experience performing tax research, reviewing state income tax returns and providing technical advice on multi-state income tax issuesBachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA, EA or JD/LLM preferredAbility to develop business and foster relationships both internally as well as with clientsExcellent writing, compliance, communication, management and tax research skillsAbility and desire to perform in a high-energy team environmentKPMG complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
