The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations of each retail store. In addition, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators; will support the Receiving Supervisor in managing the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs. Major responsibilities include daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning for shipping and receiving products productively and cost-efficiently; directing day-to-day warehouse activities such as shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control; managing Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of products; maintaining warehouse equipment with preventive maintenance and repairs; ensuring warehouse safety programs comply with OSHA regulations; training associates on standard operating procedures; handling progressive disciplinary processes; solving employee inquiries; coordinating with other departments; completing activity reports; monitoring paperwork flow for timely data entry; resolving discrepancies with shipping and invoices; executing Storage Buy Audit COP; ensuring proper staging and storage of products; overseeing inventory rotation; and performing other duties as directed by management. Minimum eligibility requires 1-3 years of supervisory experience preferably in warehouse or distribution center, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, basic math competency, strong computer skills, ability to work in fast-paced environment and extended hours during peak seasons. Working conditions include exposure to warehouse environment and moving vehicles with moderate to noisy noise levels. Physical requirements include ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally and frequent use of hands and fingers, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
